Student Health and Wellness! mystudentplan provides health, prescriptions, dental, mental health care plus additional benefits for eligible students.
Submit your health and/or dental re-enroll application before the deadline.
30 days from the anniversary of starting your program
Make sure to submit your form within 30 days from the anniversary of starting your program as the applications received after the deadline will be denied. After the deadline, the online form is only available for students who have lost comparable coverage.
There are 2 circumstances in which students who opted Out of the Student Health and Dental Plan may Re-Enroll: (1) when they opted out of the Student Benefits Plan and are enrolled on the anniversary of starting an eligible full-time program, and (2) when they have lost comparable Health and Dental coverage.
All domestic, indigenous, government-sponsored and international students admitted to an eligible program with 6 or more credits at Okanagan College are automatically enrolled in the Health and Dental plans. Only eligible students who previously opted out of the Health and Dental plans get one opportunity at the anniversary of opting out to re-enroll and must meet the following criteria in order to have their application approved:
You must provide documentation such as a letter from the alternate insurance carrier or the employer stating the student's name, insurance carrier's name and policy number and the loss of coverage date by emailing spsahealth@spsa.ca.
Eligible students who miss the 30 days deadline would be able to re-enroll the following anniversary of starting an eligible program.
If your program starts on September 6th, you may submit an online application before October 6th. If you miss the deadline, your next opportunity to Re-Enroll will be next September.
To apply to Re-Enroll, you must be opted out of the Student Benefits Plan, meet the re-enroll eligibility criteria, are eligible for the Student Benefits Plan, and complete the online form before the applicable deadline.
