There are 2 circumstances in which students who opted Out of the Student Health and Dental Plan may Re-Enroll: (1) when they are starting the fall term, or (2) when they are within 30 days of losing their alternate Health and Dental coverage.
All eligible students taking a minimum of one MacEwan University credit level course are automatically enrolled in the Balanced Health and Dental plans. Only eligible students who previously opted out of the Health and Dental plans get one opportunity at the start of their academic year to re-enroll and must meet the following criteria in order to have their application approved:
You must provide documentation such as a letter from the alternate insurance carrier or the employer stating the student's name, insurance carrier's name and policy number and the loss of coverage date by emailing macewanplan@mystudentplan.ca.
Eligible students who miss the 30 days deadline would be able to re-enroll the upcoming fall term.
To apply to Re-Enroll, you must be opted out of the Student Plan, meet the Re-Enroll eligibility criteria, are eligible for the Student Plan, and complete the online form before the applicable term deadline.
These are the fees to re-enroll in the Student Benefits Plan. If an application is approved, the fees will be added to your student account.
