myvirtualdoctor provides eligible students and their dependents 24/7 access to virtual health care through their smart phone, tablet or computer- anywhere in Canada!
Powered by Dialogue Health, students can consult with a medical professional to address their primary health care needs including:
Telemedicine platforms in Canada are not able to prescribe controlled substances including stimulants like ADHD medications, narcotics, opioids, benzodiazepines, cannabinoids, or barbiturates. If it is determined by a clinician that you require a medication not available through myvirtualdoctor, you will be assisted to find local healthcare services to receive the care you need.
All domestic, indigenous, government-sponsored and international students who meet the following criteria are automatically enrolled in the Student Benefits Plan and do not need to apply for coverage.
Students who are members of the students' association name/admitted in School's name are automatically assessed the mystudentplan Fee on their tuition.
You are admitted to a designated full-time study program that is 16 weeks or longer at BCIT; and
You reside in Canada and study in person or online; and
You are under the age of 70.
Review your student account statement and search for myvirtualdoctor Fee to confirm you are covered by the Virtual Health Care - mystudentplan.
To confirm eligibility, follow these students to find the fees on your student account.
Open your mobile or desktop Internet browser and go to your MacEwan student portal myportal.macewan.ca
Log in using your MacEwan username and password to access the student portal.
Click on the myStudentSystem link on the Quick links blue menu located on the left side of the screen. Then click on the Fees drop down menu and select Enrollment and Account Summary.
The system will open a pdf file in a new tab. Scroll down to the second page to view the detailed term charges. If you are eligible for the Plans, you will see a Health Insurance Fee and a Dental Insurance Fee.

To start the registration process, please provide a valid email address. You may use either your personal or school email.
Please follow the password guidelines. Once all the criteria are met and indicated by green checkmarks, you may proceed with the registration.
Dialogue will send a verification email to ensure that the entered email address is accessible to you.
Open your email inbox and search for a message from support@dialogue.co. To proceed, click on the Verify Email button within the email.
Read and provide your consent. Your privacy is our top priority.
Fill out the online form with your personal details to proceed with the registration. Your first name, last name, and date of birth must match what your school has on file.
Review the notes and mark each as read to finish the registration process.
Welcome! You have successfully completed the registration. Now, you can explore the services offered by Dialogue.

You can withdraw from myvirtualdoctor based on your personal choice by completing the opt-out application form before the deadline.
