Get the right legal support! mylegalplan provides students access to legal resources such as customizable legal documents, 24/7 legal hotline to speak with a legal assistant and consultation with a lawyer from the national network to pursue any civil legal issues.

Eligibility Criteria

All eligible domestic and international students are automatically enrolled in the Virtual Legal Plan - mylegalplan provided by Concordia Students' Association.

This virtual legal plan covers a range of legal services that allow students to get the right legal support to pursue any legal civil issues. The Plan fee is included in your tuition each year you are eligible for the plan.

The eligibility criteria to be automatically enrolled in this plan are:

  • You are accepted into and remain declared in an eligible program as having full-time status; and
  • You were assessed a Student Association Fee; and
  • You are residing in Canada and studying in person or online.

Coverage Period

Eligible students will receive 12 months of coverage starting the first day of the month when classes begin.

Fall Semester

Coverage September 1st to August 31st

Winter Semester

Coverage January 1st to December 31st

Spring Semester

Coverage May 1st to April 30th

Check Term Fees

If you are not sure if you meet the eligibility criteria, please visit the Online Services at the University and login using your student account. If you have been charged the mylegalplan fee, then you are enrolled!

Opting Out of this plan

Students may apply to opt out of the plan.

Opting Out of this plan

All eligible Students enrolled in mylegalplan may submit an online application to opt out of mylegalplan only one time during the academic year. This opt-out period is at the start of their period of study before the applicable term deadline.

The mylegalplan opt-out result is an annual opt-out. To keep your waiver active, you need to submit the online opt-out form every year.

Students who have opted out of the plan will automatically be enrolled on the anniversary of opting out.

  • mylegalplan only covers the student. There is no option to add family members to the mylegalplan; and
  • mylegalplan does not allow non-eligible students to opt-in to the plan or eligible students who previously opted out of the plan to re-enroll mylegalplan.
