Get the right legal support! mylegalplan provides students access to legal resources such as customizable legal documents, 24/7 legal hotline to speak with a legal assistant and consultation with a lawyer from the national network to pursue any civil legal issues.

Eligibility Criteria

All eligible domestic and international students are automatically enrolled in the Virtual Legal Plan - mylegalplan provided by the Toronto Metropolitan Students' Union.

This virtual legal plan covers a range of legal services that allow students to get the right legal support to pursue any legal civil issues. The mylegalplan provides legal resources and protection for student enrolled in the TMSU Student Health Plan.

The eligibility criteria to be automatically enrolled in the health plan are:

  • You are accepted into and remain declared in an eligible full-time undergraduate program; or
  • You are accepted into and remain declared in the law program through Lincoln Alexander School of Law or the IEEQB program; and
  • You are enrolled in at least one course from the University; and
  • You are residing in Canada and studying in person or online.

Coverage Period

Eligible students will receive 12 months of coverage starting the first day of the month when classes begin.

Fall Semester

Coverage September 1st to August 31st

Winter Semester

Coverage January 1st to December 31st
