Eligibility Criteria
There are two international plans and as an eligible international student at Suncrest College. The mycanadaplan, Powered by Morcare -International Student Medical Plan and the Emergency Transportation and Repatriation Plan. All international plans are mandatory.
mycanadaplan, Powered by Morcare - The International Student Medical Plan - was approved by Suncrest College. The emergency medical insurance plan provides coverage in the event of an emergent medical occurrence for eligible students, such as an injury, illness or accident minimizing the costs associated with effects of injury or ailments costs while studying in Canada. The coverage is comparable to doctor insured services such as visiting a medical clinic or hospital.
Eligible international students will automatically be enrolled in the International Student Medical Plan – mycanadaplan, Powered by Morcare. The international student emergency medical insurance plan is a mandatory plan, and fees will be added to your student account as part of your tuition when you are enrolled at Suncrest College.
International students are automatically enrolled in the international plans if they meet the following criteria:
- You are an international student; and
- You must be registered and accepted in an eligible program as an international student; and
- You are under the age of 65.
Emergency Transportation and Repatriation Plan
The student emergency transportation and repatriation plan is approved by Suncrest College. The Plan covers transportation and repatriation expenses arising from accident, sickness, injury, death, and critical illness. Coverage is subject to certain limitations and exclusions, which are explained in this policy. It is important that you read and understand your policy.
Eligible students with valid Saskatchewan Health will automatically be enrolled in the Emergency Transportation and Repatriation Plan.
Enrollment Confirmation
If you are unsure about whether or not you are eligible for the International Student Medical Plan - mycanadaplan, Powered by Morcare or the Emergency Transportation and Repatriation Plan, please contact your Benefit Plan Office at suncrestcollege@mystudentplan.ca prior to any applicable deadlines.
International Plan Card
Students enrolled in the International Student Medical Plan can generate their International Plan Card by selecting the link below When following the link for your school instructions include entering your Date of Birth, Student ID.
If you are eligible for the mycanadaplan, Powered by Morcare, International Student Medical Plan and have not received confirmation of enrolment, please contact your Benefit Plan Office at suncrestcollege@mystudentplan.ca.
Coverage Period
The coverage period is the length of time which your mycanadaplan, Powered by Morcare Emergency Health Insurance policy is in effect.

The coverage period is the length of time which your mycanadaplan, Powered by Morcare International Student Medical Plan is in effect and commensurate with the 1st day of the month in which your program begins.
New International Students
New International students are automatically enrolled to the International Student Medical Plan - mycanadaplan, Powered by Morcare and the Emergency Transportation and Repatriation Plan for a combined total of 12 months.
The International Student Medical Plan - mycanadaplan, Powered by Morcare is a 60-day term plan. This is a mandatory plan.
Students are automatically enrolled onto the Emergency Transportation and Repatriation Plan at the beginning of the 3rd month (or 61st day) for the remainder of their coverage period providing a total of 12 months of coverage between the mycanadaplan, Powered by Morcare and the Emergency Transportation and Repatriation Insurance (ETR).
Returning International Students
Returning students are automatically enrolled in the Emergency Transportation and Repatriation Plan for 12 months. Coverage dates are based on your program start date and commensurate with the 1st day of the month in which your program begins. This is a mandatory plan.
Effective Date
The coverage effective is the 1st day of the month in which your program commences.
Termination Date
The termination date of your International Student Medical Plan is limited to 60 days, and expires on the 60th day, for example, Effective Date: September 1st – Expiry Date: October 30th.
The termination date of your Emergency Transportation and Repatriation Plan is 365 days from the 1st day of coverage from either your International Medical Plan or if a returning student your coverage ends 365 days from the 1st day of coverage. (12 months total)
