Get the right legal support! mylegalplan provides students access to legal resources such as customizable legal documents, 24/7 legal hotline to speak with a legal assistant and consultation with a lawyer from the national network to pursue any civil legal issues.

Opt-Out Applications

Submit your mylegalplan - Virtual Legal Support opt-out application before the deadline.

Fall Application Period

August 1^st to September 29^th, 2025

Make sure to submit your form by September 29^th as the online form won't be accessible after that date.

Opt-Out Eligibility

All eligible Students enrolled in mylegalplan may submit an online application to opt out of mylegalplan based on their personal choice at the start of their academic year before the applicable deadline.

How to Opt Out

To Opt Out, you must be enrolled in the mylegalplan, meet the Opt-Out eligibility criteria, and complete the online form before the applicable term deadline.

Steps to Opt-Out

Things to consider:

The mylegalplan opt-out is an annual opt-out. You will be re-enrolled next year on your enrolment anniversary and if you wish to opt-out again you will need to complete this Form prior to the applicable deadline.
The mylegalplan Opt-Out process is unconditional. students are not required to have proof of coverage elsewhere.
Students who opt-out of the Virtual Legal Hub - mylegalplan will no longer be able to use the legal benefits.
Approval of the mylegalplan opt-out will result in the mylegalplan fee being refunded according to the school's policy.
Once you opt-out of mylegalplan, you will not be able to re-enroll in the program until your enrolment anniversary.
NO EXCEPTIONS will be made if the deadline is missed. It is the student's responsibility to pay the plan's mandatory fees, should they miss the applicable opt-out deadline.
Once you complete the mylegalplan Opt-Out form, you will receive an automated email confirmation. Please keep this email for your records as it is your only proof of submitting an opt-out request.

Fall 2025: The online applications will open on August 1^st, 2025, and the application deadline is September 29^th, 2025. This deadline is only for eligible students assessed the mylegalplan fee in the fall term.
