If you are automatically enrolled in the student health & dental plan you can access your benefits using your myBenefits Card. Your Benefits Card allows direct billing with pharmacies and dental offices.

To access direct billing simply show your Benefits Card and only pay for the portion not covered by the plan. Direct billing is the process between the healthcare provider and Canada Life, make sure that your providers offer direct billing to Canada Life. Otherwise, you need to pay the full amount for eligible services and submit online claims for reimbursement on my.canadalife.com.

For the benefits card and direct billing to work at vision care or paramedic practitioners, you must first create an account at my.canadalife.com and update the address on your profile. NEW students will not be able to register until the validation period is over.

Returning students do not generate the card every term that they are eligible for the plan, as the card remains active for future terms the students are eligible for the plan.

New students, students who apply for re-enrolling or opting-in, and family members added to the plan will be active in the plan approximately 45 days from the start date of your program. Please keep your receipts for eligible expenses incurred during this time period to submit online claims once the validation period is over.

Downloading the myBenefits Card does not confirm eligibility for benefits coverage.
